Here’s why you should be slathering up on our lotions before you get out of the shower or tub:

Having dry skin can be uncomfortable especially during the colder months. The key is to lock in moisture while your skin is still damp. When you moisturize right after showering or bathing, some of the water gets trapped on your skin to keep your skin moist and combat dryness. 

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, applying lotions after taking a bath “ is absolutely key because it provides an artificial barrier that can help prevent water loss and also keep out bacteria, viruses, and irritants that we don't want to get into the skin. After a bath, moisturizer should be applied very quickly. Before applying the moisturizer, we like to gently pat the skin but leave the skin feeling damp so that we're not totally stripping off the moisture that we get from the water."

Here’s a step-by-step guide on using CBD lotions after a hot tub:

Step 1: After showering or bathing, gently pat your body without completely drying it off as the best time to apply lotion is when your skin is right in between wet and dry. Damp skin is perfect for absorbing products!

Step 2: Add a dollop of lotion to your hand and rub your palms together to warm up the lotion.
