Once a CBD product is applied on the skin, CBD does its job by stimulating the CB2 receptors in the skin. Many types of skin cells - keratinocytes, melanocytes and fibroblasts - have CB2 receptors. Although both derive from the same plant, CBD oil's potential go well beyond the scope of regular hemp seed oil. Hemp oil is made from hemp seeds, meaning there is little to no CBD content. It has none of the same benefits of hemp-derived CBD oil.
